Boaters For A Brighter Future is a non-connected "independent expenditure only" political committee (commonly referred to as a "Super PAC") as registered with the Federal Election Commission is exempt from federal taxation under section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code.
All spending is independent. We do not make contributions to, or coordinate spending with, any candidates or political parties.
Boaters For A Brighter Future may accept unlimited contributions from any source, including individuals, political committees, corporations, and labor organizations, but may not accept contributions from foreign nationals (except individuals who are not citizens of the United States but who are lawfully admitted for permanent residence) or federal contractors. Contributions from foreign nationals and federal contractors are prohibited.
Contributions or gifts to Boaters For A Brighter Future are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. All contributions received are required to be publicly disclosed to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
